Tervikum – An Innovation-Driven Hospital
Alongside the design of the Viljandi Hospital and Health Center, our county’s entire health and social services system is being restructured. But that’s not all. This is a first-of-its-kind and unique project—not only in Estonia but likely even in the Baltic region—aimed at bringing together, in a symbiotic manner, all links in the long chain of medicaland social services into a single building and enable them to work together quickly and flexibly as a unified team—above all, to save people’s lives. We want to take the management and quality of medical services to a new level. We won’t settle for anything less. In collaboration with the best architects, we want to transform the Viljandi Hospital—founded in the mid-19th century—into a new beacon of innovation in healthcare and social services, guiding the development of the entire regional hospital network. Building on the success story of our hospital, we plan to build centers with a similar concept in other Estonian cities—and perhaps beyond.
- All Viljandi family doctors are with us
- Healthcare services for patients in one place and close by
- New infrastructure for developing integrated services
- The principle of a unified bed pool
- A dramatic improvement in operational logistics
- Reduction in administrative costs
- A modern patient service environment
